A Multi-Discipline Medical Team
The Fibroid Treatment Collective was established by Bruce McLucas MD, a graduate of Yale Medical School and board certified obstetrician and gynecologist. He is assisted by a team of trained nurses and practicing radiologists and personally participates in all Uterine Fibroid Embolization procedures.
A concern for the number of hysterectomies being unnecessarily performed and the disadvantages of myomectomy surgeries led Dr. McLucas to become an active advocate for Uterine Fibroid Embolization. He was part of the team which performed the very first American embolization in 1994 and has since cured thousands of fibroid patients.
